Day 46 Sunday May 25

Handed boat back in today, no hassles, all went well. Caught Uber to Silsden train station. Started to rain as we waited for the train! Met Graeme and Maureen on train to Leeds. Had about 1 hour til our train for London came and theirs to Manchester was leaving. Time for a cuppa and five good bye hugs!

Good bye at the boat

Waiting for train to Leeds- bit wet!

Hopped onto our train and this couple were in our seats, funny thing was they sat there very quietly whilst Kath said at least 3 times, which seats are 69, 70, 71 and 72. It was hard to see where the seat numbers were! We finally worked out they were in our reserved seats and they very begrudgingly moved! One carriage contains the reserved seats and the number of people who get on and try and sit in them is unbelievable!

At Leeds station

Bob and Kath on train

Gary and me on the train

Welcome to Kings Cross - honestly we were in Subway, all underground. Then had to go above ground to catch train to Barnes - what a system!

Good trip to Kings Cross station where we said good bye to Bob and Kath. They have a week now in London before they head home. Gary and I hopped onto the Vauxhall line to catch the train to Barnes, about 30 mins south of London. We were so proud of ourselves! Had to change at Kings Cross and then Vauxhall to get to Barnes and then we walked to our accommodation- all went very smoothly.

Accommodation is really lovely and the host is very accommodating. She has allowed us to use the washing machine and dryer, which was fabulous as we had quite a bit of washing to do! Up early tomorrow to catch the train into London for hop on, hop off bus and cruise on River Thames! Expecting a long day!

Gary sitting in back garden, sipping on a red wine whilst we waited for clothes to wash and dry!
